SPCA club aims to spread awareness about animal issues in all regards and to provide support for the local BC SPCA. Our club comprises of students who are passionate about animal rights and are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for pets. Pre-covid, the club would hold weekly meetings, during which we covered proper and humane pet care with the occasional guest-speaker to share their expertise. This year, we intend to move the club online, while still providing resources and education for all who are interested. The club also holds annual fundraisers and school-wide events, such as Halloween pet costume contests and talent competitions, where 100% of the proceeds are donated to the BCSPCA.
